August Egg Company of Hilmar, CA is recalling 1,700,000 dozen brown cage free and brown certified organic eggs, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children. Consumers who may have eggs produced in this plant. should return it to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Symptoms of Salmonella Infection

Salmonella infections typically manifest within 12–72 hours of exposure. Common symptoms include:

  • Diarrhea (possibly bloody)

Isabelle’s Kitchen, Inc., Harleysville, PA, is recalling 946 cases of refrigerated deli salads containing fresh cucumbers recalled by Bedner Grower’s, Inc. because they have potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea.

Homegrown Family Foods has voluntarily recalled its Shore Lunch Oven Style Breader & Batter Mix due to the presence of undeclared milk. This poses a serious health risk for individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall on May 29, 2025, following a consumer report of an allergic reaction.

Shore Lunch Breader Recall Overview

The recall was prompted after a consumer’s daughter experienced an allergic reaction from consuming the breader mix. Investigation revealed that the mix contained milk, which was not disclosed on the product label. So far, one illness has been reported and the individual has recovered. Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, based in Kea’au, Hawaii, has issued a voluntary recall of specific batches of its Dark Chocolate Covered Macadamias due to the presence of undeclared almonds and cashews. This poses a serious health risk to individuals with tree nut allergies.

The recall affects 0.6-ounce and 4-ounce bags distributed across multiple U.S. states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Guam.

  • 0.6 oz bags: UPC 0 72992 05464 4, lot numbers K5069C1 and K5069C2, best by date 10/2026.

Discovery and Cause of the Issue

The issue was identified during Mauna Loa’s internal quality control process, which revealed that a batch produced by a third-party co-manufacturer contained undeclared almonds and cashews. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

TS Food Packaging has issued a nationwide recall for its Rural King and Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasoning due to the presence of an undeclared soy ingredient. The recall affects products sold through both e-commerce platforms and retail stores. Individuals with soy allergies risk severe or potentially life-threatening reactions if they consume the affected seasoning. The recalled products include 4.2 oz plastic jars with lot numbers 17324s, 27824s, and 30324s, as well as 1 oz sample gift packets labeled 16524SP, 16624SP, 23424SP, 26324SP, 26424SP, 26724SP, 20624S, and 20724S.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. TS Food Packaging discovered the issue during a routine quality check, which revealed that a supplier had substituted an ingredient containing soy without notifying the company. An internal investigation identified a failure in the supplier’s substitution review process, and corrective measures have since been implemented to prevent similar incidents

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. has issued a nationwide recall for its Shirakiku Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack Curry Flavor due to the presence of undeclared milk. Individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity risk life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.

The recalled snack was distributed across multiple U.S. states including California, Texas, New York, Florida, and Illinois, as well as exported to Mexico. It was sold through retail stores, restaurants, and online businesses.

The affected product is packaged in a 2.46 oz flexible bag with UPC 07441078512, located on the back right side of the package. The recall covers all lot codes and date codes. The last recorded distribution of the product was January 10, 2025. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the issue. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the product contained an undeclared milk allergen.
