Rural King and Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasoning Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergens

TS Food Packaging has issued a nationwide recall for its Rural King and Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasoning due to the presence of an undeclared soy ingredient. The recall affects products sold through both e-commerce platforms and retail stores. Individuals with soy allergies risk severe or potentially life-threatening reactions if they consume the affected seasoning. The recalled products include 4.2 oz plastic jars with lot numbers 17324s, 27824s, and 30324s, as well as 1 oz sample gift packets labeled 16524SP, 16624SP, 23424SP, 26324SP, 26424SP, 26724SP, 20624S, and 20724S.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. TS Food Packaging discovered the issue during a routine quality check, which revealed that a supplier had substituted an ingredient containing soy without notifying the company. An internal investigation identified a failure in the supplier’s substitution review process, and corrective measures have since been implemented to prevent similar incidents

Consumers should not consume, sell, or distribute these products. If you purchased the Rural King and Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasoning, dispose of it or return it to the store for a full refund.
