Turkana Food Announces Recall of Floria Dried Apricots Due to Undeclared Sulfites

Turkana Food Inc. is recalling 352 cases of Floria Dried Apricots after routine sampling by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets found that the product contained sulfites, which were not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall as of June 12, 2025.

Where Are Floria Dried Apricots Sold?

The affected Floria Dried Apricots were distributed in various states, including Florida, Kentucky, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maryland, Ohio, Alabama, Missouri, and California. If you have purchased the product in these locations, check the packaging for the lot number 440090478-15-333 and the expiration date November 2026 to confirm if the product is part of the recall. If you have this product, you should immediately discontinue consumption and return it to the store for a refund.
