Fuentes Farms Announces Recall of Boxes of Fresh Cucumbers

Fuentes Farms LLC is recalling 71 boxes of fresh cucumbers due to possible contamination with Salmonella. The affected product was sold at flea markets in McAllen and Alamo, Texas. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers are advised to discard or return the product to the point of purchase.

Reason for Recall

The recall was issued because the cucumbers may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause serious illness, particularly in young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. Although no illnesses have been reported, the recall is a precautionary measure after routine testing by Fuentes Farms revealed Salmonella contamination.

Where Is Fresh Cucumber Lot #357 Sold?

The affected cucumbers were sold at flea markets in the McAllen and Alamo areas of Texas. If you have purchased cucumbers during the dates from May 31 to June 3, 2025, at these locations, check the label for Lot #357 and immediately discontinue the sale or consumption of the product.

Symptoms of Salmonella Infection

Salmonella infection can cause a variety of symptoms, including:
